Today I got an email from a very close friend of mine about an incident that deeply hurts my heart. Her strength, her courage to come forward, to reach out-- not only inspires me, it models just how much our own scars can heal.. not just in time.. but through opportunities. Moments, where we step forward and say, "I need your help."
She breaks her silence. She breaks, mine.
Her bravery to step forward to talk about the very things we learn never to discuss, reveal that many people share those same scars. Survive those parallel struggles. We also realize, many of us haven't fully recovered--yet. Or maybe, it's all a process...
